PTCCI Horsham Camp
Ozymandias Meet Up – or Return of the Horsham Camp 2 – 4 May 2026!
We’re really pleased to say that Horsham Camp is coming back in 2026. A number of Dan’s senior instructors have already confirmed they’ll be teaching so we are hoping for, a similar line up (see below).
Senior teachers will run several one and a half hour sessions with two sessions running at the same time so that there is something to suit everyone from the experienced to people who have started more recently.
The timings and format will be the same as last year, starting 12:00 on Saturday 2 May and finishing at 13:00 on Monday 4 May. Pizza night on Saturday evening went well last year so we’ll be doing this again.
Click here for the timetable last year; we hope to have a similar format in 2026.
The camp will be as much about an opportunity to meet up with old friends and make some new ones as it is about having structured teaching sessions. Of course, there will be opportunity to share memories of Dan and debate the finer points of tai chi chuan over a beer or three!
This is also a great opportunity for newer students to meet and train with others and for them to see just what a big “family” we are!
The event will be on the usual UK May Bank holiday (2 to 4 May 2026) – mid-day Saturday to mid-day Monday.
Unfortunately rising costs mean we will have to slightly increase what we charge:
- £40 per half day (Sat, Sun or Mon)
- £80 all day (Sunday)
- £125 for whole camp
- £12 for pizza including beer Saturday evening
Please note this is a non-profit event and any surplus funds Dan’s website, goes to Parkinson UK or ensures we have some money towards the next year. All accounts are shared with the instructors and they are asked about the best way to use the surplus.
We’ll be using the same venue as previous years (Collyer’s 6th Form College) which is just a 10-minute walk from Horsham railway station where trains run regularly to Gatwick Airport (20 minutes journey). There is also plenty of parking onsite and Horsham is a short drive from main roads to M25 and London. There are various options for accommodation within walking distance including two Premier Inns (the one by the station is nearest to Camp but gets booked up quickly) and a Travelodge.
As many of you will remember, there is plenty of indoor and outside space at Collyer’s including hard standing so we can cope whatever the weather throws at us!
