“It is my belief that our training should be fun as well as a learning process for both the teachers and students. “
I am registered as an instructor with Practical Tai Chi Chuan International, a Senior Grade member of and former Secretary to the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain (TCUGB).
I have been practicing Tai Chi Chuan since 1985 under the guidance of my late teacher Dan Docherty – Chief Instructor and founder of Practical Tai Chi Chuan International.
In 1987 I had the pleasure of meeting and training with Dan’s teacher – Cheng Tin-hung on his final visit to the UK.
I try to have an open and friendly teaching style and wish to promote Tai Chi Chuan as an effective martial art and exercise regime for students of all ages. It is my belief that our training should be fun as well as a learning process for both the teachers and students, so I encourage informality and questions during class.
Since 2010, I have been authorized to perform the Bai Shi ceremony and teach the Nei Gung (Internal Strength) exercises to students of our style.
